- Soft, thin, upholstery weight leather OR vinyl in two or more colours
- Topstitching thread - TEX 45 or 70
- 15cm lining fabric - Quilting cotton recommended
- 10cm of Decovil (light) interfacing or equivalent stabiliser
- 24cm continuous size 5 zipper and 1 pull
- 1 lobster clip to suit 10mm strap
- (Optional) 6mm or 8mm double-sided rivets
Tools
- Zipper foot and Teflon/roller feet for your sewing machine
- Quilting clips, binder clips, or curtain clips
- Leather edge paint to match colours
- Size 16+ machine needles - Leather for leather and microtex for vinyl
- Leather/suede glue
- Double-sided tape

The Piquant Pouch is such a well-written pattern. Clear and detailed instructions with very helpful color-coded graphics. Such a fun pattern!
These little bags are so adorable and perfect little gifts for teachers, friends and kids! The pattern is so user friendly I easily added a gusset for a little more room. Great size for a quick sew that sparks your creative side!
This pattern if fun to sew and if you have scraps of materials - fabric or vinyl.
I was not happy with the two I made, apple and kiwi. Think it is more my fault and not the designers. Will try again in a few days. And the only tutorial I found was in French.
This was my very first soft leather bag I've ever made (though I'm an avid sewest). The small scale is certainly a challenge, but the designs are SO CUTE it's worth it and illustrated instructions make it a pleasure to sew. The directions are thoughtfully written, the illustrations clean and clear, and there are so many helpful tips for those of us new to working with leather or vinyl throughout the pattern. While the scale of the project does pose a challenge, the finished product is such a perfect size- just big enough for a few credit cards, some chapstick and change. The small size also means it's super quick to sew, which makes it a great instant gratification project and a quick-to-sew gift!
