The Hugo Handbag PDF Pattern - With SVGs + Video Tutorials!
Introducing the super-versatile and cuddly Hugo Handbag sewing pattern, your new best friend and favourite go-to accessory! Please note, you are buying a downloadable PDF and SVG files only, you are not buying a completed bag.
The Hugo Handbag is a bowler-style bag that can be sewn with both vinyl or leather and comes complete with two adorable faces, a charming cat and a delightful dog. It can also be sewn plain or with a sublimated front if you prefer. Inside, it features bound seams using the effortless foldover elastic technique which boosts the strength and stability of the bag.
Crafted with attention to detail and practicality in mind, the Hugo Handbag is spacious enough to hold all your daily essentials and features three pockets with three different techniques to learn, because who doesn't love pockets? This skill-builder pattern includes step-by-step instructions, clear diagrams, and multiple video tutorials, making it suitable for confident beginner bagmakers and beyond.
Additionally, the Hugo Handbag pattern includes SVG files for all pattern pieces, making it effortless for those with cutting tools like Cricuts to easily cut out the necessary pieces (though you can also cut pieces by hand too if you prefer).
Designed with the home sewer in mind, the Hugo Handbag pattern can be suitable for sewing on domestic machines. The key lies in selecting the right materials and considering the power of your machine for a smooth crafting experience.
What's more, the Hugo Handbag pattern is fully customizable and can be enhanced with additional add-on packs. Explore our collection of add-ons to expand your handbag's design possibilities. Please note that add-on packs are sold separately.

Great pattern
I tried to make the bag but found out my sewing machine can't handle the third layer of the slough pattern. So it will need to wait until I break down and purchase an industrial sewing machine. For what I was able to accomplish, I was very pleased with it.
I can see, ther is both dog and cat
Why do I only got the cat then ??
Both designs are included within the folders, it's possible you may have deleted the dog folder so I recommend downloading the zip file again from your account. For further troubleshooting, please contact support@carbonchic.com.au
I purchased the pattern because I saw SiahSwag making a tutorial and loved it. Unfortunately it downloaded in a zip file which I personally don’t know how to change it to PDF😪. Help please
Hey, sorry for the delayed response but I do not monitor reviews for questions and you should ideally contact me with any issues via the contact page before leaving a rating :) In answer to your query: You do not convert a zip file to a PDF. A zip file is opened (preferably on your computer) and the PDF files are contained within. If you need further assistance or troubleshooting, please contact me using the email on the contact page and I will get back to you promptly!
Haven't been able to print it yet 🤷 . Extracted the files which were pdfs but then couldn't get them to print... May have another go tomorrow
Thank you for your review but without any details I would expect this is likely an issue on your end--try extracting the files again, double checking that you're trying to print the PDF files and not the SVG files, or updating your printer drivers. If you need further support or troubleshooting, please contact support@carbonchic.com.au
